If i tag a picture, is there any way for other people to find out who it is who put the tag there? also, i know that tags must first be approved by whoever is the author of the album that the picture came from. can they see who the tag request came from?

yes. if you tag someone, the owner will know who tags it. then it will say in the news feed "(your name) has tagged (name) in a photo"
Reply:only if they have privacy setting set so that stories will publish in the news feed. if they have all stories on the news feed turned off, there is no way to tell.
