On a daily basis, I get spam from the same senders over and over again. I thought once they were "tagged" as spam that was it, they would be blocked. Can I block them myself or is Yahoo really getting rid of these folks?
Spam in my bulk file keeps coming in from the same people over and over. I thought once "tagged" that's it. ?
Same name maybe----but spammers alter the address----maybe an extra comma or something similar---to be able to slip past blocks.
If it's always the "same name" (you're sure ??)---set up a personal filter, with that name (irregardless of address) as a trigger to delete.
Mail page%26gt;%26gt;options (upper right corner)%26gt;%26gt;scroll to Filters. Click "add" and fill in the blanks with the name--and/or-- specific words to act as the trigger. Click "add filter".
Reply:I have the same problem with two spam filters. Obviously, they aren't doing their job. I first forward a copy to spam@uce.gov and then report it one more time to Yahoo. It works sometimes and other times not. Luckily, it works more than not, but still not 100%. Gmail has an excellent spam filter, so you might want to go that route.
