Why does the good guy always have the upper hand whenever he's tagged in?

in a tagteam match, whenever one of the good guys team up, it always goes like this.. one guy gets in the ring for like 5 mins getting beat up to a pulp and then finally gets a tag, and then the fresh guy always gives the heel a clothesline and the other heel jumps into the ring and gets a clothesline as well and get some body slams etc

its been like that every single time. like, EVERY single time.

another thing is ric flair, whenever he goes to the top rope to try something, the opponent always throw him off the top rope.

Why does the good guy always have the upper hand whenever he's tagged in?
Just enjoy.

just enjoy no questions asked no weird comments

just watch
Reply:It's just to get the fans pumped up or into the match. I, myself think it's stupid since I always cheer for the heels like Kurt Angle when he used to wrestle in the WWE.
Reply:it is scripted, when flair goes to the top rope the commentators usually say "when is the last time this have ever worked for flair."

Just enjoy the matches!
Reply:Wrestling is not Fake it is very much REAL.
Reply:It is how they script it. They always want the fan favorite to come in and seal the victory. Ric Flair is waaaaay too old to be flying off the top so the script does not allow him to do aerial manuevers
Reply:It's written in the script that way. It's FAKE you dolt
Reply:Just watch WWE and enjoy.
Reply:Because they're building hype. You know it's gonna happen every time, yet you hop out of your set to get a better view.
Reply:its fake...its scripted..jsut enjoy it man...sorry to burst your bubble...with all respects
Reply:It’s a good question to ask.

You’re probably over analyzing the matches too much to enjoy them so my advice would be to try to get into the fun of the match and look less at the “Hollywood back lot” effect.

Having said that, the sequence you are asking about is very very common. Every wrestling match has one goal, to get the crown emotionally involved in the match. One way to do this is to have a hero that everyone likes. It helps if he is a nice looking guy who acts like a nice guy. Then in the match you have the nice good guy get into big big trouble in the match and the bad guys cheat to keep him in trouble. The crowd, who likes the nice good guy, pulls for him and cheers for him and gets very upset as the bad guys cheat to keep him in trouble, wear him down and get a pin.

At some point the hero makes a last ditch tag and the other good guy, usually the less popular one, comes in to destroy the opponents. The reason this is so badly done (usually involving the same move over and over knocking down bad guys right and left) is it is at the end of a long match and the wrestlers are tired and wanting to get the match over with so the quality and general chorography of the match suffers here. You are correct that better matches even with this general design can end much better with a different type of ending, more planned out or with a big surprise.

Interestingly enough, this good guy bad guy thing you are not liking is what is mainly missing from today’s federations. The good and bad guys are blured and switch back and forth so often that is looks like a poorly written soap opera or you have an over reliance on comic book style characters that are like a big walking façade with no heart and soul behind it. So, it would be better if there was more of the good guy bad guy thing.

But, it was a good question!!

Rick Flair was an example of someone with great non verbals, actions which make you understand things without words being said, facial expressions or body language. Like being tossed off the top rope. Everyone wanted to see Rick shake his head wildly with his white hair flinging around and then see him tossed of and then jump to his knees holding his back screaming. Or when he would get hit hard in the corner walk out in a dazed and the pitch forward flat on his face. Everyone loved to see it so he would use it over and over and over. Rick is a victim of his own talent and longevity but it just goes to show you, you have to keep innovating or you get boring.
